Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer best recognized for her roles performed as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actor as well as a producer and director. She works in television and film. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared in a number of television series and independent and mainstream films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she received not just praise from critics but also numerous awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. In 1995, she made her acting debut on stage in The Tempest as Ariel. She's appeared as a character on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film work is highlighted by her appearances on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her most well-known role is her character on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
