Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the teenager age. As well as BJJ classes, she also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. When she was 18, she made her amateur debut at WCFC. Ladd later went on to win three fights in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All her opponents were finished within the first few minutes. She went back to WCFC for the purpose of defeating Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo before facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen in the fight, beating her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's record as an amateur was marred. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent match with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 record. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in 2015 when she signed to Invicta FC. Invicta 11 saw her dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen rise into the Bantamweight division after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to take out McGill by TKO in the third round (elbows & punches). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd failed to make the weight. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy by using TKO. At Invicta FC21, she was the final match with the company. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut came at UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with a ground-and-- - hit her for a TKO win in the second round. In her next fight, she defeated Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd defeated Evinger to the punch in the initial round, and was awarded the performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos anjos-lee match with Eubanks' Sijara was the first match she's ever had in any significant way. The two fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters getting an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds, putting an end to her winning streak. After a short break after which she went on to beat Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. In a recent match replacement in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. Her loss was a unanimous one.
