Aura Garcia Sanchez is an actress on Spanish films and television. She's appeared on TV and in movies such as Stockholm. Garrido began her career in Madrid in the year 1989. Tomas Garrido, her father is an orchestra conductor and composer. Her mother, Pilar Sanchez is a painter. At the age of four she started piano classes and, shortly after that, ballet. Her best friend who spoke English which taught her to speak the language. She attended Madrid's Real Escuela Superior DE Arte Dramatico when she completed her studies in high school. The third year of her studies she did a course on interpretive and textual aspects of the program. But in 2010, she left the program because she had been cast as a character in Planes para manana. This role earned she an award of the Silver Biznaga for best supporting actress as well as a Goya Awards nomination in the top breakthrough actress category, among other nominations.
