Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937 and died 19 January 2008 was an American film theatre, television and voice actor. Pleshette began her professional career in the theater, and was a part of films towards the end of the 1950s. She was later featured in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Then, she was in various television shows and was frequently acting as a guest. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, 1972-1978 in which she won numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born on the 31st of January 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer who performed under her stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage director at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
