tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27, 1976. His family was from Southern California, and attended Huntington Beach High School where the school was where he played at the top on both the basketball and football teams. Gonzalez excelled at these sports at the University of California, Berkeley. He played a key role in leading the team's football team to 1996 Aloha Bowl. There, Gonzalez set a record in the school for receiving nine receptions, and tied it. Gonzalez led the basketball team to the Sweet 16 of NCAA basketball tournament just a few months after. He left college to enter the 1997 NFL Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs chose Gonzalez as their number thirteen overall. Gonzalez was in the Chiefs between 1997 and 2008. Gonzalez was transferred to the Atlanta Falcons. In Gonzalez's second NFL season, he threw more than 59 passes per season.
